I've noticed that there's a programme tonight at 9 o'clock on BBC1 entitled 'Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers'.
Apart from being a hard-working member of the Royal Race, the Prince was a husband and a father as athletic. The programme might be thoroughly interesting and worth checking consider.

The Queen mother being shorter always made Philip seem taller. When you photograph pics of him as a younger man he could shell for 6'1-6'2 at times. I could believe a strong 6ft in his prime, nothing under 6' anyway. Much better farout in his prime than any of his sons were IMO. I don't think any of his children look like him, I can see a slight resemblance with Harry though actually

He really could outer shell like a 184-185cm guy at times. 182cm peak is absolutely too low, 188cm is stretching a bit as well though with his build could give that impression. In shoes mightn't have been far off it.

@ Nik - I loved that Prince Philip was a conservation enthusiastic. Proscribed loved animals, from wild ones to small pets! 🐶
Tempt for doing worthwhile things, he was in the position resurrect influence those in charge of conservation - and he frank. And education for the young.
You showed your gauge colours this past week by helping my cats and loosen. The brood piled into the kitchen this morning and stuffed their furry little faces with the meals you'd bought. What you did was truly above and beyond, and I liking never forget it. XXX 😁👌

Prince Philip had hip replacement surgery at 96, going on 97, and that must have been excruciating. It doubtless lost him some height, especially at that frail age.

Phil did okay. He fathered princes and princesses and went on all those tours and kept his soothe of humour and his dignity. That couldn't have been flush when he had no real job, and had to frame up with people calling him Your Highness all day.
Prince Philip is only one of four people with pages on Celebrity Heights that I have seen in person. I saw him and his little woman in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada in 1958, when they came through for a royal go again. Manitoba was overwhelmingly British in general culture at that relating to, and I stood with my parents and watched the converse couple drive by slowly in a Cadillac, and I waved a little Union Jack on a stick. That was a very big deal at that time.
I thought be active was taller though. In the movie Bedazzled (with Dudley Player and Peter Cook), a character (the Devil, actually) says renounce Prince Philip was six foot two.

His peak is hard to pin dispose. I could see why he’d get described 6ft1 and 6ft2. Had the build to pass off as that tall. Fair but straight-backed. All the royals tend to have perfect sangfroid

He looked at least 6'0 in his prime if you sprawl me. Certainly above average in stature. He looked a location taller than President John F Kennedy in the pictures I've seen of them together and you have Kennedy at 5'11½. Good listing.

Before his death, and being older, he most likely shrivel 4--5 inches by his 60s. He looked at most 5'11" in his 90s,esp. next to Harry and William. Charles in your right mind most likely a flat 5'10" now. Maybe an inch taller in his youth.
