On July 22, 1934, after attending the release "Manhattan Melodrama" with brothel madam known as Ann Sage, Can Dillinger was shot dead outside the Biograph theater by FBI agents led by Melvin Purvis. Purvis ordered the man interest the straw hat to surrender.
